On the occasion of this year's African Press Day, Radio Africa TV is organizing an international symposium to analyze the politics of the Austrian media, examine how Africa is presented in the Austrian media in comparison with other western media, and explore how the experiences of other countries could be useful for Austria.

Tanja Dedovic of IOM Vienna will moderate the panel discussion on the topic of “MigrantInnen bzw. die afrikanische Diaspora in der westlichen Medienlandschaft: Anwendbarkeit positiver Erfahrungen auf die österreichische Realität”, which will be held in the German language.

The symposium will take place on 23rd - 24th of September 2010 in the ORF center on the Küniglberg.  Further information in the German language as well as the preliminary agenda can be found here.
