Study on the Situation and Status of Russian Nationals from the Chechen Republic Receiving Basic Welfare Support in Austria

Study_picThe goal of the "Study on the Situation and Status of Russian Nationals from the Chechen Republic Receiving Basic Welfare Support in Austria" was to establish a knowledge base on the profile of Russian citizens from the Chechen Republic who receive basic welfare support in Austria, including information about their motives for migrating to Austria, about remaining in the country, and about their potential return home.

For the implementation of the study, a multi-methodological approach was chosen. This approach uses the advantages of both qualitative and quantitative methods to assure high quality and accurate results. Academic literature, data, statistics, information and experiences of earlier IOM profile studies in other countries were used as a basis for the study. Qualitative instruments included expert interviews, which were carried out during various stages of the project in order to support the development of quantitative instruments and the data interpretation.
